Samoan language week

2019 Samoan language week is in New Zealand this week in SOS we are talking about Samoan language week and we learn that two types of houses in Samoa ( Fale )


Fale tele - Guest Fale is the pride of the extended family. Fale tele host chief meetings, family gatherings, and funerals.

Faleo'o - Smaller house of dwelling, sleeping, and resting place usually situated at the back if fale tele.



So that is the thing that I have to learn today but I got a question

Can you think of how we can hold onto our language in NZ?

For me, I don't know because I can't speak my language but my language is cook island and Maori but my papa can speak cook island and I think my dad can speak the language but that is it I have to say.

Community

Today in SOS we had to talk about our community we were explaining what is a community . For me a community looks after each other. I would help anyone that is hurt. If they have a problem like wanting to now where is G.I pak'nsave is I  would help just because I live in G.I. G.I have a lot of problems like Gang fights and it is not good for the community also it makes people not come outside just because of the gangs fights . But if we not do this we can make the community look good also I think that this community G.I. Can be good community but we all work together and STOP!!  gangs fighting because the gangs making G.I a bad community.

What I did today

Today in SOS we all did present our migrants me and my bubby his name is Walter. Presented first I think it went good because I think I talk good I explain about our work I was confident when I got up me and Walter was talking about Scotland. And that is what I did today.  

Jacinda Ardern shows empathy

Jacinda Ardern visited Christchurch after the attack. It was just one day after the attacks. she visited the muslin's to pay her respects . She dressed up in a black dress and she wore a headscarf it is called hijab, which is worn by a lot of muslin's women. I think she show great empathy towards the muslin's lost love ones

Empathy: why we should show empathy?

What does empathy mean to me? for me empathy means people helping each other. If someone is hunrt would you help that person because that person needs someone to talk to. If someone needs lunch would you share your lunch your lunch to that person. After that would you invite them to be friends because this is all a part of empathy you can creates friendships and better bonds between people.
